Data You Send Us
Names, phone numbers, and addresses entered in the search boxes are sent to the third-party provider that powers those results. Azusa Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you write to us, the message and any details in it are available to the mailbox used to answer you.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting services may record ordinary server information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We use aggregate information to keep the pages working and to understand general traffic. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or, where enabled, advertising measurement.
How We Use It
Limited data may be used to operate the reference, answer a message, diagnose a problem, measure broad traffic, and improve the pages. We do not sell visitor lists or build individual user profiles from the small amount of information described here.
Links to Other Services
The pages link to assessor and recorder portals, court searches, elections tools, CDPH forms, library collections, archives, and sponsored search services. Once you leave Azusa Residents Directory, the destination’s privacy policy controls the information you submit there. The third-party company behind a sponsored result also sets its own data practices.
Who Can Process Data
Hosting and technical providers may process server logs while supporting the pages. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Information may also be disclosed when a valid legal process requires it.
Security and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection. Logs are kept only for the operational or measurement purpose that needs them. There are no reader accounts here, so Azusa Residents Directory does not hold your password or a user profile for this reference.
Readers Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If a minor has sent information to the contact mailbox, please write to us so the message can be reviewed and deleted when appropriate.
Your California Privacy Rights
Depending on the facts and your status, California’s Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, may provide rights to know, access, correct, delete, or opt out of sale or sharing of covered personal information. The principal statute is the California Civil Code section 1798.100 et seq. California’s Delete Act also supports the California Privacy Protection Agency’s DROP mechanism for registered data brokers. These rights concern covered business data, not every government public record.
Because Azusa Residents Directory keeps little information, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and relevant server logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by the City of Azusa, Los Angeles County, California agencies, courts, libraries, or archives are outside our control. A request to change those records must go to the custodian office, such as the City Clerk, RR/CC, Assessor, Elections, court, or CDPH.
Policy Changes
If this policy changes, the updated text will be posted here. Continuing to use the reference after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
